7 UP

I try to like new stuff. Even though I’m an old fart, I try not to be the “Get off my lawn” type. Often, I find if I give things a fair chance, I’ll end up liking them, drinking Great Northern Stubbies for instance, or posting Cat pictures.

I’ve given Triple Crowns a fair chance and I still don’t like them. I much prefer the traditional format, I like the build-up through the night to one final race, a final race with no second chances. Supercross is supposed to have a main event. Just my opinion.

Anyway, here’s the word on the Glendale Triple Crown.

Uppers

1. RJ Hampshire’s save in Race 3, dude is strong, that was amazing, RJ also won Race 2 and made it interesting.

2. Unlike me, Levi Kitchen likes Triple Crowns, they really play to his strengths, with good starts and early sprint speed.

3. Jett is just too good, winning yet again, RJ 2nd again, and Levi in 3rd.

4. Daniel Blair in the booth and Justin Brayton on Race Day Live, every week, please.

5. In A competitive Supercross Futures race, Winner Juju Beaumer is a gun, and the rest of the top 5, Ryder DiFrancesco, Daxton Bennick, Casey Cochran, and Mark Fineis all looked great, remember the names.

6. Several riders were saved due to Jason Anderson's probation, most notably Cooper Webb. In the moment I thought El Hombre was going to send Coop to Valhalla.

7. Justin Barcia, love the new Bam Bam, clean and fast as shit.

8. Kyle Chisolm, Chiz did some heavy Chizzing.

9. Eli Tomac just getting it done, winning his 51st Supercross, with Chase 2nd and Bam Bam 3rd.

Downers

1. Chase Sexton easily being the fastest guy but? Was that some caution, stay healthy for outdoors?.

2. The “Triple Crown Championship” I mean really, Chase looked like he got the

“Coach’s Award” or “Most Improved”.

3. Stilez Robertson’s broken leg, so bummed for him.

4. Christian Craig’s injuries, bummed for him too.

5. Cole Seely, honestly as a fan I’m just happy he’s back, it’s cool, but I’m sure he is

expecting better of himself.

6. Our Mossy had a rough night, damn it, we know how much potential is there.

7. Hunter Yoder’s pants.

8. Coop not getting it done and is now 7 points behind Eli in the Championship.

Next up were off to the “Peach State” and Atlanta Motor Speedway. Back to the 250 Eastcompetition, we know Atlanta is Nate Thrasher's favourite track so hopefully he brings his best and gives Hunter Lawrence a run. As for the premier class, I’m hoping Coop bounces back. I want the heavyweight bout going all 17 rounds.
