For the 59, his family and friends.

I’m rarely lost for words, especially the written kind, but I find myself

pretty lost right now. Like many of you, I was there on Sunday, where a young

man lost his life. Tragedies of this magnitude rarely hit our sport and

our lives at all.

First of all, my love, thoughts, and condolences to Brayden’s family, Ash,

Corrine, Damon and Ellie, all his friends and family, and the Queensland Moto

community.

I never met Brayden and didn’t know much about him, though the outpouring

of love, grief, thoughts, words, and memories since Sunday’s tragedy has made me feel like I know him at least a little. I can sure tell that he was a great

young man who really grabbed life’s opportunities and made the most of them.

So many beautiful words written this week, pictures shared, videos, and a tip

of the hat to Trent for replaying show 23, featuring Brayden Co-hosting with him

and Nic. Brayden’s confident, happy, and polite personality is very much

apparent. If you’re reading this then you’re a Moto Limited fan and have

probably already listened, but maybe share that bit of Brayden with others. I’ll

be listening to it a few times.

The Motocross community, broader Motorsports community, and Aussies by

our very nature are a supportive bunch, willing to help others, and the worse

things get, the more helping hands are raised. Take those helpful hands.

Grief is something I know way too much about. Trust me when I say to lean on

each other for support, talk, talk a lot, talk to the ones who aren’t talking,

especially those of you thinking you need to be tough, let it out, talk to the ones who don’t know what to say, talk to the young ones. And don’t forget to

listen.

Ride in Peace Brayden
