RAdelaide - From the couch

Wiese vs Richardson Round 1

The hometown hero wowed the crowd, but the far north mauler wanted to play spoiler.

Privateer hero's without capes, smack talk done it was time to bang bars and see who gets the cigars.

The small gate sealed Wiese's fate, but Richo stepped up to the plate.

First blood goes to Gilligan's, the rivalry grows, what happens at Newy, nobody knows.

The less important stuff !

Adelaide was cool. That's my initial thoughts, and still is a week later. For me it evoked feelings of watching Supercross masters. Back then it didn't matter that it was a tiny track, I was just pumped to be at a Supercross, I hope the youngsters in the crowd at Adelaide felt that same way.

Personally I liked almost everything, the only things I didn't like was, as mentioned above, guys like Elijah missing the main only because of the small gate.

I also wonder what thoughts a newer fan watching on TV would have. Maybe very different from my old eyes that are filtered by fond memories?

MX1 - Sorry JB but I was glad to see someone else win! Everybody likes Justin Brayton but Deano's win brings excitement to the series. Mossy's podium was no surprise, especially on a track like that where starts and race craft was paramount.

A bit of work to do from the CDR riders, I'm expecting a big bounce back.

MX2 - Max Anstie, where was that form in Charlotte! Max with a dominant win making it a very happy trip home for the big red truck. 2nd to WBR import Robbie Wageman, really cool to have him here, Wilson Todd's 3rd got at least 1 Aussie on the podium. Speaking of the podium, can we please, please get one! A banner on the ground is not a podium. Rant over. Rough night for the KTM team mates, with Nateo Crawford last, after an incident that the broadcast missed? and Kayden Minear destroying his arm in practice, gone for the series now, heal up digger.

MX-3 Parker Ross over here pushing our kids around, just kidding, its cool and its now up to our MX3 riders to up their game and beat him. Really pumped to see Kobe Drew in 2nd, this kid is a fair dinkum privateer, great stuff. Campbell Williams in 3rd. Friend of the show and reigning champ Jack Mather with a night he will want to forget, he's work is cut out now to defend that #1

CR22 - 85's This was cool, great experience for this kids, great for the sport and great to see Chad giving back. Loved it, well done to winner Jack Nunn and all the other wipper snappers.

Bring on Newy.
